Covered Special District definition

Covered Special District means a Special District that is (1) a school district with K-12 student enrollment of at least 25,000 or 0.12% of a State’s population, whichever is greater; (2) a fire district that covers a population of 25,000, or 0.20% of a State’s population if a State’s population is greater than 18 million (though, if a fire district’s population is not easily calculable from state data sources and agreed to between the State and Teva, it is calculated by dividing the population of the county or counties a fire district serves by the number of fire districts in the county or counties); or (3) a healthcare district or hospital district with at least 125 hospital beds in one or more hospitals rendering services in that district.
Covered Special District. (a) School Districts’ population will be measured by the number of students enrolled who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (“IDEA”) or Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; (b) Health Districts’ and Hospital Districts’ population will be measured at 25% of discharges; and (c) all other Special Districts’ (including Fire Districts’ and Library Districts’) population will be measured at 10% of the population served.

  • Special district means a unit of local government, authorized by law to perform a single function or a limited number of functions. The term includes but is not limited to conservation districts, water districts, weed management districts, irrigation districts, fire districts, community college districts, hospital districts, sewer districts, and transportation districts. The term also includes any district or other entity formed by interlocal agreement.

  • Residential district means an area of a municipality where 75% or more of the area is zoned for residential housing.

  • Local district means a local government entity under Title 17B, Limited Purpose

  • Improvement district means a local district that operates under and is subject to the provisions of this chapter and Chapter 2a, Part 4, Improvement District Act, including an entity that was created and operated as a county improvement district under the law in effect before April 30, 2007.

  • Regional District means the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George.

  • Public transit district means a public transit district organized under Title 17B, Chapter 2a, Part 8, Public Transit District Act.

  • Appraisal District means the Xxxxxx County Appraisal District.

  • Incremental property taxes means the taxes as provided in Iowa Code sections 403.19 and 260E.4. “Industry” means a business engaged in interstate or intrastate commerce for the purpose of manufacturing, processing, or assembling products, conducting research and development, or providing services in interstate commerce, but excludes retail, health, or professional services. An industry is a business engaged in activities described as eligible in the Act rather than the generic definition encompassing all businesses in the state doing the same activities. An industry is considered to be a single, corporate entity or operating subdivision. An industry which closes or substantially reduces its operation in one area of the state of Iowa and relocates substantially the same operation in another area of the state is not eligible for a project. This definition does not prohibit a business from expanding its operations in another area of the state provided that existing operations of a similar nature are not

  • County-adjusted property tax base per square mile means the county-adjusted property tax base divided by the number of square miles of land area in the county.

  • Tax Increment District or "district" means that area to which the tax increment finance plan pertains.

  • Covered Species means the species for which the Bank has been established and for which Credits have been allocated as set forth in Exhibit F-1.

  • Common Area Operating Expenses are defined, for purposes of this Lease, as all costs incurred by Lessor relating to the ownership and operation of the Industrial Center, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • School district means a public school district.

  • Water Surface Elevation (WSE means the height, in relation to mean sea level, of floods of various magnitudes and frequencies in the floodplains of coastal or riverine areas.

  • Development District means Municipal Development District No. 4 in the City, which is described in the corresponding Development Program.

  • Water surface elevation means the height, in relation to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD) of 1929, the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988, or other datum, where specified, of floods of various magnitudes and frequencies in the floodplains of riverine areas.

  • Urban district means the territory contiguous to and including any street or highway which is built up with structures devoted to business, industry, or dwelling houses situated at intervals of less than one hundred feet for a distance of a quarter of a mile or more, and the character of such territory is indicated by official traffic control devices.

  • Qualified buildings means construction of new structures,

  • SDA district means an SDA district as defined in section 3 of P.L.2000, c.72 (C.18A:7G-3).

  • Special service district means the same as that term is defined in Section 17D-1-102.

  • Coastal high hazard area means a Special Flood Hazard Area extending from offshore to the inland limit of a primary frontal dune along an open coast and any other area subject to high velocity wave action from storms or seismic sources. The area is designated on a FIRM, or other adopted flood map as determined in Article 3, Section B of this ordinance, as Zone VE.

  • Qualified building means a building built at least 30 years before the date of application, located within a designated downtown or, village center, or neighborhood development area, which, upon completion of the project supported by the tax credit, will be an income-producing building not used solely as a single-family residence. Churches and other buildings owned by religious organization may be qualified buildings, but in no event shall tax credits be used for religious worship.

  • Stormwater management planning area means the geographic area for which a stormwater management planning agency is authorized to prepare stormwater management plans, or a specific portion of that area identified in a stormwater management plan prepared by that agency.

  • Qualifying project means (i) any education facility, including, but not limited to a school building, any functionally related and subordinate facility and land of a school building (including any stadium or other facility primarily used for school events), and any depreciable property provided for use in a school facility that is operated as part of the public school system or as an institution of higher education; (ii) any building or facility that meets a public purpose and is developed or operated by or for any public entity; (iii) any improvements, together with equipment, necessary to enhance public safety and security of buildings to be principally used by a public entity; (iv) utility and telecommunications and other communications infrastructure; (v) a recreational facility; (vi) technology infrastructure and services, including, but not limited to, telecommunications, automated data processing, word processing and management information systems, and related information, equipment, goods and services; (vii) any technology, equipment, or infrastructure designed to deploy wireless broadband services to schools, businesses, or residential areas; or (viii) any improvements necessary or desirable to any unimproved locally- or state-owned real estate.

  • Anticipated county property tax revenue availability means the

  • Covered Building Service Employee means any person performing building service work for a Covered Building Service Employer, either directly or through a contract or subcontract.
