Commercial or Industrial definition

Commercial or Industrial means the business activities undertaken by any individual, firm, corporation, or entity, occurring at any factory, plant, office, or other facility, not including a construction site or other workplace that was intended to be temporary workplace. Commercial or Industrial does not include activities performed primarily for a public or charitable purpose and/or undertaken by a nonprofit entity or governmental entity. Nor does the term include activities that primarily are point of service, medical, education, retail, or residential in nature.
Commercial or Industrial means areas which are used or intended to be used primarily for other than residential or agricultural purposes;

Examples of Commercial or Industrial in a sentence

  • This clause shall apply to all employees of the employer whilst they are performing work on any Civil, Commercial or Industrial project where the project value is more than $2.0 million and where there is any inconsistency between any of the provisions of this award and this clause, this clause shall apply.

  • Where the interior side or rear lot line in a Commercial or Industrial Zone abuts a Residential zone, a planting strip or screening adjoining such abutting lot line or portion thereof shall be provided on the Commercial or Industrial lot.

  • Commercial or marketing purpose means the sale of student data; or its use or disclosure for purposes of receiving remuneration, whether directly or indirectly; the use of student data for advertising purposes, or to develop, improve, or market products or services to students.

  • Commercial Development means any development on private land that is not heavy industrial or residential.   • Commercial domicile means the principal place from which the trade or business of the taxpayer is directed or managed.

  • Industrial means lands, buildings or structures used or designed or intended for use for manufacturing, processing, fabricating or assembly of raw goods, warehousing or bulk storage of goods, and includes office uses and the sale of commodities to the general public where such uses are accessory to an industrial use, but does not include the sale of commodities to the general public through a warehouse club;

  • Floodplain Development Permit means any type of permit that is required in conformance with the provisions of this ordinance, prior to the commencement of any development activity.

  • Industrial hemp means a plant of the genus Cannabis and any part of the plant, whether growing or not, containing a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration of no more than three-tenths of one percent (0.3%) on a dry weight basis.

  • Tribal organization means the elected governing body of any Indian tribe or any legally established organization of Indians that is controlled by one or more such bodies or by a board of directors elected or selected by one or more such bodies (or elected by the Indian population to be served by such organization) and that includes the maximum participation of Indians in all phases of its activities; and

  • School District/Public Entity means the School District/Public Entity that executes the contract.

  • Educational organization means a nonprofit public or private elementary or

  • Michigan economic development corporation means the public body corporate created under section 28 of article VII of the state constitution of 1963 and the urban cooperation act of 1967, 1967 (Ex Sess) PA 7, MCL 124.501 to 124.512, by a contractual interlocal agreement effective April 5, 1999, as amended, between local participating economic development corporations formed under the economic development corporations act, 1974 PA 338, MCL 125.1601 to 125.1636, and the Michigan strategic fund. If the Michigan economic development corporation is unable for any reason to perform its duties under this act, those duties may be exercised by the Michigan strategic fund.

  • international organization shall have the meanings set forth in Section 7701 of the Code or successor provisions.

  • Quasi-Sovereign means an entity 100% guaranteed by a Sovereign or more than 50% directly or indirectly owned by a Sovereign. *

  • Competent Authority and ‘Appellate Authority’ shall mean the following:

  • Mental or Nervous Disorder means any disease or condition, regardless of whether the cause is organic, that is classified as a Mental or Nervous Disorder in the current edition of International Classification of Diseases, published by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is listed in the current edition of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, published by the American Psychiatric Association or other relevant State guideline or applicable sources.
