Temporary Workplace is an alternative workplace where employees may be required to standby or commence or finish incident duties during an incident.

A temporary workplace may be considered to be a work area of the headquarters workplace from which employees are routinely dispatched. Temporary workplaces may include pumping stations, emergency response sites, and similar workplaces.

INCIDENT CONDITIONS 1.1 The following conditions apply in circumstances where an employee has either been deployed to a declared incident, or placed on standby or on call in anticipation of a deployment and approved by a person authorised by the employer, (e.g. Regional Duty Officer), until the incident is declared safe or attendance ceases. 1.2 Flexitime and compressed working week arrangements for those employees required to participate in an incident will be suspended at the time an incident is declared.
