Certified emergency medical technician-intermediate definition

Certified emergency medical technician-intermediate means any individual who has successfully completed an emergency medical technician-intermediate training program developed and promulgated by the United States Department of Transportation and adopted by the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, who is nationally registered, and who is certified by the bureau.

  • Mental health facility means a mental health facility as defined by the Inpatient Mental Health Treatment of Children Act;

  • Physical therapist assistant means an individual who is licensed/certified by a state and who assists the physical therapist in selected components of physical therapy.

  • Emergency Medical Transportation means the transportation, by ambulance, of sick, injured or otherwise incapacitated persons who require emergency medical care.

  • Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) means a qualified person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.

  • Qualified Medical Practitioner means any person legally authorized by the Government with jurisdiction in the geographical area of his or her practice to render medical or surgical service, but excluding a qualified medical practitioner who is the Insured Person or an Immediate Family Member of the Insured Person.

  • Emergency medical services provider means a person who has received formal training in prehospital and emergency care, and is licensed to attend any person who is ill or injured or who has a disability. Police officers, firefighters, funeral home employees and other persons serving in a dual capacity one of which meets the definition of “emergency medical services provider” are “emergency medical services providers” within the meaning of this chapter.

  • Dental technician (advanced) means a person registered or licensed under the law of a state or territory as a dental technician (advanced).

  • Chemical dependency professional means a person certified as a chemical dependency professional by the department of health under chapter 18.205 RCW.

  • Qualified mental health professional means a licensed medical practitioner or any other person meeting the qualifications specified in OAR 309-019-0125.

  • Off-highway implement of husbandry means the same as that term is defined in Section 41-22-2.

  • Substance use disorder professional means a person

  • Public health emergency means an emergency with respect to COVID–19 declared by a Federal, State, or local authority.

  • Participating Certified Nurse Practitioner means a Certified Nurse Practitioner who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Licensed health care professional means a person who possesses a professional medical license that is valid in Oregon. Examples include, but are not limited to, a registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioner (NP), licensed practical nurse (LPN), medical doctor (MD), osteopathic physician (DO), respiratory therapist (RT), physical therapist (PT), physician assistant (PA), or occupational therapist (OT).

  • Dental hygienist means an individual who has fulfilled the educational requirements and is a graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program and who has passed an examination and has been issued a license by the Board and who is authorized to practice dental hygiene as hereinafter defined;
