As used in this part, unless the context requires otherwise, the following definitions apply: (1) "Emergency medical care provider" means a local government subdivision or other entity, whether public or private, licensed by the state to provide emergency medical services pursuant to Title 50, chapter 6.
All fees received pursuant to this section shall be deposited in the emergency medical services fund established in section 135.25.2. Emergency medical care provider certificates are valid for the multiyear period determined by the department, unless sooner suspended or revoked.
Section 147A.6, Code 2019, is amended to read as follows:147A.6 Emergency medical care provider certificates —— fees and renewal.1. The department, upon initial application and receiptof the prescribed initial application fee, shall issue a certificate to an individual who has met all of therequirements for emergency medical care provider certification established by the rules adopted under section 147A.4, subsection 2.
