Working Service. Working service includes annual leave and leave for jury duty. Working service excludes the cumulative total of all other absences greater than four consecutive weeks during the annual performance review period, except for union leave. Employees with 52 full weeks of working service from their anniversary date are eligible for a full performance increment. Employees with less than 52 full weeks of working service from their anniversary date shall have their increment anniversary date set back accordingly. Pay range ceilings apply. An employee who takes parental/maternity leave will not be penalized for his/her absence from work. The employee will return to his/her employment status held at the commencement of the leave and the performance increment date deferred to account for a full year of working service.
