Weight Correction. To compensate for the refining effect which occurs during melting and sampling, due to the elimination of base metals, a correction factor as indicated in Annexure A ("the correction factor") shall be applied to the dry weight referred to in clause 10.1.2 and hence to the fine gold content of each deposit. The dry weight after adjusting same with the aforesaid correction factor is hereinafter referred to as "the final dry weight". The base metal results derived from the application of the XRF technique referred to in clause 10.7.1 in respect of each deposit shall be applied in the correction formula as indicated in Annexure A.
