Common use of Wages during illness Clause in Contracts

Wages during illness. Employee who is disabled due to illness or injury is entitled to full ordinary wages for the duration of the employment, however, not exceeding 12 months. The right lapses to such extent as laid down for sick pay pursuant to the National Insurance Act (at present 6 times the Basic Amount for the period following the employer period). For citizens of other countries who are not covered by the Norwegian National Insurance, the employer covers the sick pay contribution as for Norwegian employees.
