Vacancies for the Subsequent School Year. a. All vacancies shall be posted in each school building by the Personnel Office and a copy sent to the Association. Also, vacancies at the elementary level shall be posted individually, not generically. Vacancies shall be posted for at least five (5) work days during the school year before the vacancy may be advertised out of District. The District may encourage current employees to apply for such vacancies. Employees who wish to apply for such transfer to a posted vacancy shall make a written request to the Personnel office no later than the fifth work day following the posting of such vacancy during the school year. In general, employees who wish to be considered for a transfer should contact the superintendent in writing by April 15. All written requests for transfer shall be kept on file until May 1 of the following year.
