Upon presentation to the Director of Human Resources of proof that a member of the bargaining unit has obtained a master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education, the bargaining unit member's salary shall be increased by six percent (6%) or the minimum rate of compensation for a Master’s credential as specified in Article 8(E), whichever is higher. The adjustment shall be effective at the beginning of the next pay period after documentation has been received by Human Resources. Upon presentation to the Director of Human Resources of proof that the member of the bargaining unit has obtained a doctorate degree from an accredited institution of higher education, the member of the bargaining unit's salary shall be increased by eleven percent (11%) or the minimum rate of compensation for a Doctorate credential as specified in Article 8(E), whichever is higher. The adjustment shall be effective at the beginning of the next pay period after documentation has been received by Human Resources.
