Common use of Unpaid Association Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Association Leave of Absence. Upon request by the Association, an employee may be granted a leave of absence without pay to perform full-time official duties on behalf of the Association. Such leave of absence shall be for a period of up to one year and may be extended for one or more additional period of one year or less at the request of the Association. Approved requests will be granted by the Department/Agency head not to exceed one per each 2,000 employees represented by the Association provided no adverse effect on the operations of the Department/Agency results.
