Common use of Union Leave Clause in Contracts

Union Leave. Any employee with seniority elected or appointed to Union office or selected for other Union activities by the national Union, local Union, the Ontario Federation of Labour, or the Canadian Labour Congress, shall be granted an unpaid leave of absence for a period of up to one (1) year with extension privileges, providing however, that such employee shall renew their leave of absence annually.
