Unexcused Failure To Report To Work. An unexcused failure to report to work shall constitute a resignation by the employee after a continued absence of five (5) days, unless the employee shall have made a reasonable effort to advise employer of his inability to report to work. Failure to give the employer actual notice of such inability to report, or receipt of such notice by the employer after twenty (20) days from the date when employee was obligated to report for work, shall constitute a resignation.
