Transition Leave as a Result of Layoff. At the Appointing Authority’s discretion, an employee under notice of permanent layoff may continue in payroll status for up to eighty (80) hours of paid leave prior to their date of layoff. Such leave shall not be subject to the provisions of Section 5, Reinstatement After Leave, of this Article.
