Transfer of Seniority The affected employer(s) and affected union(s) shall meet to determine any provisions for a transfer of seniority between bargaining units.

– SENIORITY AND JOB SECURITY 9.01 (a) Seniority and service for full-time employees shall be defined as the length of continuous service with the Home since the date of last hire, subject to Article 9.03-9.05, 9.17, 9.18 and 11.10 and any other related provision of the Collective Agreement.
SENIORITY AND LAYOFF Section 1. Seniority means the length of continuous service in a bargaining unit position since the last date of hire.
SENIORITY AND LAYOFFS 11.01 Seniority of employees shall be recognized within their respective trade and job classifications. Transfer of Service This Agreement may only be assigned in connection with sale of the covered HP product and only within the United States. Customer must inform HP when the covered HP product is sold per Section 10a. HP is not responsible for any taxes or fees associated with the assignment.

Whenever a classified position is abolished, or a reduction in force becomes necessary, or an employee is laid off to create a vacancy for an employee moving from a higher classification, layoff shall be in reverse order of continuous service with the City.
