Common use of Time Off During Notice Period Clause in Contracts

Time Off During Notice Period. An Employee whose job is redundant will be entitled to one day off per week on ordinary pay to seek alternative employment. This time off will not apply where internal redeployment is offered. If the Employee has been allowed paid leave for more than one (1) day during the notice period for the purpose of seeking other employment, the Employee must, at the request of the employer, produce proof of attendance at an interview or they will not be entitled to payment for the time absent for any subsequent day. The Employer may approve further time off for Employees seeking alternative employment.
