The Servers for Your Data Provider‌ Sample Clauses

The Servers for Your Data Provider‌. The History Server provides historical daily, weekly and monthly bars on an end of day basis. The Tick Server provides two types of data, intraday bar data and tick data. Intraday bar data includes open, high, low, close and volume for a period specified in minutes. Tick data includes a price and a number of shares sold. Tick data includes one record for each trade, which can amount to a lot of data for volatile stocks. The Data Manager provides real-time streaming data of various kinds, including a record for every tick and every bid. Unlike the history and tick servers, the data manager server includes a process running on the client (i.e. your) system. Daily, Weekly and Monthly charts use data from the history server supplemented by real-time data from the data manager. Generally, the history server provides data up to the close of the previous day, and the data manager fills in the current day information. Intraday interval charts use historical bar data from the tick server plus real-time data from the data manager. Accumulation of data into bars is done on the server, so that as the specified interval gets longer, the volume of data downloaded becomes less. Tick bar charts use historical tick data from the tick server plus real-time data from the data manager. Regardless of the specified number of ticks per bar, every tick for required period is downloaded. This is because accumulation of ticks into tick bars is not a feature of the tick server. AutoScan charts obtain data similar to Daily, Weekly and Monthly charts. If the real-time box is checked, AutoScan data is kept up to date in real time from the data manager. If the real-time checkbox is unchecked, the real-time data feed is initially enabled, but is then disabled once data for the current day has been received. Note however, that if a non-AutoScan chart exists for the same symbol, then the corresponding AutoScan symbol is kept up to date in real time (since the data is available). This can result in some symbols in an AutoScan being kept updated, and some not.
