Common use of Temporary Leave Clause in Contracts

Temporary Leave. 1. At the beginning of every school year each teacher shall be credited with three (3) days leave to be used for the teacher's personal business. A teacher planning to use a personal leave day or days shall notify his principal or supervisor at least 24 hours in advance, except in cases of emergency. Personal business leave days are not intended for the day preceding or following a holiday or recess, nor for the first or last days of the school year. Unused personal leave days will be added to the teacher’s personal illness days at the end of the school year. The combined total unused personal illness days and unused personal leave days shall not accumulate to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days.
