Common use of Temporary Leave Clause in Contracts

Temporary Leave. When authorized by the State Court Administrator, temporary leave for salary savings purposes may be granted upon request of the employee provided that this leave shall not exceed sixty (60) consecutive days at any one time and that the Employer or its designee shall not hire a replacement for an employee on temporary leave. An employee on temporary leave shall, if otherwise eligible, continue to accrue vacation leave, sick leave, and seniority and shall continue to be eligible for paid holidays and insurance benefits provided that any holiday pay shall be included in the first paycheck received following the employee’s return from leave.
