Teachers and teachers teaching-on-call with assignments that qualify for payment on scale, shall be granted a maximum of five (5) days leave without loss of pay in the case of death of spouse (including common-law) and/or child, parents, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents, grandchild, same gender partner and/or any other relative who has been residing in the same household over a period of not less than one year.

  • Teachers An individual who is a resident of a Contracting State immediately before making a visit to the other Contracting State, and who, at the invitation of any university, college, school or other similar educational institution, which is recognised by the competent authority in that other Contracting State, visits that other Contracting State for a period not exceeding two years solely for the purpose of teaching or research or both at such educational institution shall be exempt from tax in that other Contracting State on his remuneration for such teaching or research.

  • New Teachers No new teachers shall be hired for a vacancy for which a teacher on unrequested leave is certified.

  • Participating Teachers A participating Teacher is a unit member who receives assistance and/or coaching to improve instructional skills, classroom management, knowledge of subject, and related aspects of teaching performance. There are two (2) categories of Participating Teachers.
