Common use of Teacher Physical Assault Clause in Contracts

Teacher Physical Assault. Any case of physical assault upon a teacher in the course of his/her employment as a teacher or because of his/her employment as a teacher shall be promptly reported by the teacher to the principal of the school. At the request of the teacher involved, the Board will provide and pay for an attorney to advise the teacher of his/her rights and obligations with respect to such physical assault; provided, however, that the Board, or its representative, determines that the teacher was acting in accordance with and within the scope of Board policy.
