Common use of State Payment Clause in Contracts

State Payment. Teachers who choose to participate in Major Medical Coverage purchased through the District sponsored Cafeteria Plan. For the 2017-2018 school year, each teacher who purchases major medical health coverage through the District’s Health Insurance plan shall receive, the monthly Flexible Benefit Allowance (FBA) required by State Law. The District will apply the FBA toward the total premium cost of the District’s Health plan. Any excess FBA allowance over the cost of the major medical coverage purchased by the teacher may be used to purchase additional benefits through the District’s Section 125 Cafeteria Plan or may be taken as taxable compensation as provided for by law. Part-time teachers shall receive benefits as provided for by state law. If the State mandated FBA changes during the 2017-2018 school year, teachers will receive the appropriate payment as required by law.
