State and Federal Laws. This Agreement shall be subject to all present and future applicable federal and state laws, executive orders of the President of the United States or the Governor of the State of Alaska, and rules and regulations of governmental authority. Should any provision or provisions of this Agreement become unlawful by virtue of the above or by declaration of any court of competent jurisdiction, such action shall not invalidate the entire agreement. Any provisions of this Agreement not rendered invalid shall remain in full force and effect for the term of the Agreement. If any provision becomes invalid, the Employer and the Association shall enter into negotiations for the sole purpose of arriving at a mutually satisfactory replacement for such provision.
