Common use of Starting and Stopping Work Clause in Contracts

Starting and Stopping Work. Employees shall be at their respective posts ready to begin work at the time their pay starts and shall not quit work in advance of the time their pay stops. For example, if an employee’s pay time is from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., he shall be at his post ready for work at 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and shall not quit work until 12:00 noon and 5:00 p.m.
