Common use of Shift Switches Clause in Contracts

Shift Switches. 17.01 The Company agrees to provide a system for employees to switch shifts, providing two (2) employees are within the same job classification on different shifts. The employees switching shifts must be able to satisfactorily perform the job of the employee with whom they switched. Employees wishing to switch shifts will complete the appropriate form at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of the shift switch; exceptions may be made in cases of a bona-fide emergency.All forms are to be submitted directly to Human Resources with a copy to the Plant Chairperson.
