Common use of Severability and Choice of Law Clause in Contracts

Severability and Choice of Law. If any one or more of the provisions of this Agreement shall for any reason be held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any respect, such invalidity, illegality or unenforceability shall not effect the remaining provisions of this Agreement, and this Agreement shall be construed as if such invalid, illegal or unenforceable provision had never been a part hereof. This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without giving effect to any conflict of law rules or provisions.
