SERGEANT'S ELIGIBILITY FOR INDEX. Constables promoted to the rank of Sergeant will be paid at the rate of 120% of a First Class Constable. After three (3) years service at the rank of Sergeant a Sergeant becomes eligible for a pay index of 125% of a First Class Constable, subject to completion of the training requirements. After six (6) years service at the rank of Sergeant a Sergeant becomes eligible for a pay index of 130% of a First Class Constable, subject to completion of the training requirements. Under the following conditions, Sergeants are eligible for the pay index as set out in the wage schedule:

An Acting Sergeant's rate of pay shall be of a First Class Constable. After three (3) years service at the rank of Sergeant a Sergeant becomes eligible for a pay index of of a First Class Constable, subject to completion of the training requirements. After six (6) years service at the rank of Sergeant a Sergeant becomes eligible Victoria Police Board Victoria City Police Union Collective Agreement for a pay index of of a first class Constable, subject to completion of the training requirements.
