SEQUENCES OF WELDING. As far as practicable, all welds shall be made in a sequence that will balance the applied heat of welding while the welding progresses. The direction of the general progression in welding on a member shall be from points where the parts are relatively fixed in position with respect to each other towards points where they have a greater relative freedom of movement. All splices in each component part of a cover-plated beam or built up member shall be made before the component part is welded to other component parts of the member. Joints expected to have significant shrinkage shall be welded before joints expected to have lesser shrinkage. Welding shall be carried continuously to completion with correct number of runs. The welding in steel work shall be done of size 50M.M.X50M.M.and at every 150 M.M. run intervals or as directed on site of work by engineer in charge. The entire welding work for canopy and for trench cover should be done as per instruction and as per direction of engineer in charge. The Contractor shall choose the welding sequence after carefully studying each case such as to minimize distortion and shrinkage.

  • CONSEQUENCES OF POSITIVE TEST RESULTS For post-Accident or reasonable suspicion, a Covered Employee shall be immediately removed from performing his or her job or, in the alternative, may be temporarily reassigned to work that is not safety-sensitive if such work is available. The Covered Employee shall be subject to disciplinary action, and shall meet with the SAPC, as set forth in Exhibit A, and section 10 below, if the Covered Employee:

  • Financial Consequences of Non-Performance If the corrective action plan is unacceptable to the Department or Customer, or fails to remedy the performance deficiencies, the Contractor will be assessed a non-performance retainage equivalent to 10% of the total invoice amount or as specified in the Contract. The retainage will be applied to the invoice for the then-current billing period. The retainage will be withheld until the Contractor resolves the deficiency. If the deficiency is subsequently resolved, the Contractor may invoice the Customer for the retained amount during the next billing period. If the Contractor is unable to resolve the deficiency, the funds retained will be forfeited.
