ROLLING SHUTTERS. Rolling shutters shall conform to IS: 6248. These shall include necessary locking arrangement and handles etc. These shall be suitable for fixing in the position as specified i.e. outside or inside on or below lintel or between jambs of the opening. The door shall be either push and pull type or operated with mechanical device supplied by the firm. Shutters up to 10 sq. meter shall be of push and pull type and shutters with an area of over 10 sq.meter shall generally be provided with reduction gear operated by mechanical device with chain or handle, if bearings are specified for each of operation, these shall be included in the rate.

ROLLING SHUTTERS. The rolling shutters shall conform to IS: 6248. Rolling shutters shall be supplied of specified type, with accessories. The size of the rolling shutters shall be as specified in the drawings. The shutters shall be constructed with interlocking lath sections formed from cold rolled steel snips not less than 0.9 mm. thick and 80 mm wide, for shutters up to 3.5 m. width and not less than 1.25 mm. thick and 80 mm. wide, for shutters 3.5m in width and above, unless otherwise specified. Guide channels shall be of mild steel deep channel section and roll pressed or built-up (fabricated), with joint less construction. The thickness of the sheet used shall not be less than 3.15 mm. Hood covers shall be made of X.X. xxxxxx, not less than 0.90 mm. thick. For shutters having width of 3.5 m. and above, the thickness of M.S. sheet for the hood cover shall be not less than 1.25
ROLLING SHUTTERS. Rolling shutters shall consist of 75 mm wide 18 gauge M.S. laths machine rolled and straightened with an effective bridge depth of 16 mm. The laths shall be interlocked through their entire length and jointed together at the end with end locks. These shall be mounted on specially designed pipe shaft. Each lath section shall be a continuous single strip piece without any joint. The spring shall be prepared from unbreakable high tensile spring steel wire or strip of adequate strength to balance the shutter in all positions. The spring assembly shall be supported on strong mild steel or malleable cast iron bracket shaped to fit the lintels. The shutter shall be complete with door suspension shafts, guides, locking arrangements, brackets, pulleys with ball bearings, pushing hooks, handles, top covers etc. Fixing shall be done accurately in a xxxxxxx like manner such that the operation of the shutter is easy and smooth. Rate includes applying one coat of rust remover, one coat of yellow zinc chromate primer and three coats of approved make and shade of flat/enamel paint etc. Rolling shutters shall be measured in square meters of the clear opening to which they are fixed and in no case top drum with cover and channels shall be paid extra or shall be calculated in area.

  • Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning General Office Area: The building shall be equipped with a combination heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. The system shall have ducted supply and return air. The space above the ceiling shall not be used as a supply or return plenum. The systems shall be sized in accordance with the weather conditions identified in Chapter 13, “Energy Conservation” of the 1996 BOCA Building Code and supplemented by the “Building Code Rules”. All HVAC equipment shall be commercial or light industrial grade. If new construction it shall be installed at grade or within mechanical rooms for easy access and maintenance. If existing construction, roof mounted equipment will be considered after all other options have been exhausted, including the elimination of noise and vibration transfer to the structural members. The HVAC systems shall be zoned, with units sized and placed as required by heating and cooling loads on the building. Zoning of systems is dependent on the size, shape and orientation of the building. The HVAC system shall be divided into a minimum of 4 exterior and 1 interior temperature control zones. Return air shall be taken from the area supplied or adjacent to the area in the same temperature control zone. The ventilation and exhaust system shall be sized to maintain a positive pressure throughout the building envelope to limit air and dust infiltration. No HVAC ductwork shall be installed under the floor slab or underground.

  • Rolling Stock The Recipient agrees that any procurement for rolling stock will comply with 49 U.S.C. § 5325 (Contract Requirements), 49 U.S.C. § 5323(j) (Buy America Requirements), 49 U.S.C. § 5323(m) (Pre-Award and Post Delivery Requirements), and 49 U.S.C. § 5318(e) (Bus Testing Requirements), and their implementing regulations.
