Common use of Scholarship, Tuition, Textbooks and School Supplies Clause in Contracts

Scholarship, Tuition, Textbooks and School Supplies. (1). By written agreement, students attending high schools in Dallas County, who are enrolled in courses for which they receive joint credit under the Texas Education Code shall not pay tuition. One tuition scholarship per dual credit course per student is allowed. Scholarships are not available for high school students enrolled in college courses where only college credit is awarded. Scholarships are not provided for repeated courses. Student or High School is responsible for payment of repeated dual credit college course(s). Student or High School will pay the in-county discounted tuition rate of $59 per credit hour for repeated dual credit courses. The in-county discounted tuition rate is solely for dual credit courses listed within this Agreement, Attachment B or B-1. If student repeats the same course for the third or subsequent attempts of credit and Continuing Education/Workforce Training courses, Student or High School will then pay a higher tuition rate with few exceptions such as the restriction on course repeatability. Students should take care in dropping a credit course.
