Request for Opening of Negotiations. A request to begin negotiations shall be submitted in writing by the Union to the Superintendent or by the Superintendent to the Union on or before ninety (90) calendar days prior to the expiration of the current contract. A mutually convenient meeting date shall be set no later than eighty (80) calendar days prior to the expiration of the current contract, unless both parties agree to a later date, to set dates for the ensuing meetings.
