Common use of Request for Opening of Negotiations Clause in Contracts

Request for Opening of Negotiations. A request to begin negotiations shall be submitted in writing by the Union to the Superintendent or by the Superintendent to the Union on or before ninety (90) calendar days prior to the expiration of the current contract. A mutually convenient meeting date shall be set no later than eighty (80) calendar days prior to the expiration of the current contract, unless both parties agree to a later date, to set dates for the ensuing meetings.

A request to begin negotiations for the opening shall be submitted in writing by the Union to the Superintendent or by the Superintendent to the President of the Union on or before ninety (90) calendar days prior to the expiration of the current contract. A mutually convenient meeting date shall be set no later than eighty sixty (8060) calendar days prior to the expiration of the current contract, unless both parties agree agrees to a later date, to adopt an agenda listing those issues which shall be negotiated and to set dates and procedures for the ensuing meetings.
