Common use of Rental Rates Clause in Contracts

Rental Rates. Any supervisor who is required by the Appointing Authority to live in a State-owned residence as a condition of employment shall not be required to pay rent for the dwelling. Any supervisor who is not required by the Appointing Authority to live in a State- owned residence as a condition of employment shall pay a fair rental rate established by the Appointing Authority for the dwelling. In the event the Appointing Authority determines that a supervisor shall no longer reside or is no longer required to reside in a State-owned residence, the supervisor shall receive a reasonable period of notice of not less than six (6) months. However, the six (6) month time period shall not apply in the following situations:
