Public holidays - penalty rates. 7.16.5.1 Double time and a half shall be the rate for all work done on New Year’s Day, Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Triple time shall be the rate for all work done on Labour Day, Queens Birthday and Melbourne Cup Day.

Triple time Provided that if any other day be by Act of Parliament or Proclamation substituted for any of the above-named holidays the special rate shall only be the rate payable for all work done on Labour Day, Queens Birthday and Melbourne Cup Daythe day so substituted.
