Common use of Protective Clothing and Footwear Clause in Contracts

Protective Clothing and Footwear. a) Employees who are required by the Employer to wear protective footwear shall receive an annual allowance towards the purchase of such footwear. Employees entitled to receive a footwear allowance shall receive an annual allowance in the amount of $125 for employees required by the Employer to wear “green patch” footwear and $90 for employees required to wear safety footwear of a lower “patch” level.
