PROFESSIONAL COURSES a. A limitation, generally of a one (1) three-credit professional course, shall be made for beginning teachers, and two (2) courses per semester for experienced teachers.
PROFESSIONAL COURSES. The Unified Government and the Lodge are in agreement that it is in the best interests of the Department that as many employees as possible participate in professional, educational and training courses whenever the same are available. In order to facilitate the availability of such courses to the personnel of the Department the following are hereby adopted:
PROFESSIONAL COURSES. The Board encourages members of the professional staff to take courses for the improvement and enhancement of their teaching and will subsidize up to one hundred percent (100%) of the tuition cost of such courses within the limits defined below and with the exception of courses which have been suggested or recommended by the Board.
PROFESSIONAL COURSES. 15.1 The Superintendent may grant members a leave of absence with pay, within the limitations of the budget, for the purpose of attending educational conventions, professional meetings, training institutes, and other activities which have a demonstrable relationship to the improvement of professional skills. Written request for such leave must be filed with the employee's building principal, coordinator or director at least ten (10) school days in advance. Exceptions may be made where notice of the activity was not received more than ten (10) school days in advance. Pre-approval for participation in such a program must have been received from the principal or coordinator, and Superintendent or her/his designee in order for the member to so participate. Upon successful completion of a pre-approved, job-related course for professional improvement, an employee will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $300.00 for the cost of the course. Such reimbursement will be made only after the employee produces evidence of the following: course pre-approval by the principal, coordinator or director, the Superintendent or her/his designee, and the Business Office; documentation substantiating payment to a college or university; and a final grade report indicating that the employee has passed the course. Course reimbursement will be limited to one (1) course per school year for any one employee of the Unit. The total amount for reimbursement granted to the Association in any full school year will be $1,200.00. Tuition reimbursement awards will be made on a first come, first serve basis. All requests for tuition reimbursement must be made by January 15 of a school year. 15.2 If an employee is required, per administrative order, to attend a workshop, seminar, or conference which occurs during a regular work day, the employee shall be paid her/his regular full day's pay plus reimbursement of reasonable expenses for fees, meals, lodging, and transportation incurred by employees who attend workshops, seminars, and conferences for the purpose of becoming familiar with new office practices and equipment such as word processors and computers at the request of and/or with the advance approval of the immediate supervisor. This provision shall not be construed to prohibit voluntary attendance at such workshop, seminar, or conference, providing the immediate supervisor has the Superintendent's approval for expenditure of funds.
PROFESSIONAL COURSES. DISTRICT WORKSHOPS 21 22 A. Professional Courses, BOCES Workshops. Unit members are eligible to take 23 professional courses offered in the area which are directly related to the work 24 performed by the employee in the District. The District will pay the tuition and/or 25 registration charges for such courses under the following conditions: 26 1. The course must be directly related to the employee’s work in the District. 27 2. The course or in-service program must be approved in advance by the Assistant 28 Superintendent for Human Resources or the employee’s supervisor. 29 3. The employee must satisfactorily complete the course and provide appropriate 30 receipts, course completion certificates, etc. to the District prior to payment. 31 4. The District will not pay for courses that qualify for college credit or lead to a 32 college degree. 33 34 B. District Sponsored Workshops (excluding BOCES workshops). Unit members will be 35 eligible for in-service pay under the following circumstances: 36 1. The District sponsors the inservice course. 37 2. The employee receives prior approval to take the course from, or is required to take 38 the course by, the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources or the employee’s 39 supervisor. 40 3. The course is conducted at a time other than the employee’s normal work hours. 41 4. The employee successfully completes the course as certified by the course 42 instructor. Successful participants will receive an hourly rate for each hour of the 43 course and will receive said monies upon completion of the course and filing 44 appropriate paperwork. 45 5. The rate of pay for the District sponsored workshops shall be $11.00 per hour. 46

PROFESSIONAL COURSES. A. Teachers will have one (1), three (3) credit course reimbursed fully every three (3) years. Payment for the three (3) credits shall be reimbursed for 50% for tuition costs at the time of approval and 50% at the time of satisfactory completion. Any in-service fee pursuant to this section shall also be reimbursed. All other courses shall be subject to tuition reimbursement as per the cost per credit for that college or university but shall not exceed the Rutgers University per credit cost. All courses and workshops in which an employee wishes to enroll in for reimbursement and increment purposes is subject to the prior approval of the building principal and Superintendent of Schools. Reimbursement for undergraduate level courses shall be given if the course is determined by the administration to be relevant to the teacher’s position. No reimbursement shall be given for courses required for permanent certification in any area, except as expressly approved by the Superintendent of Schools. No reimbursement shall be given for courses taken while not employed by the Oceanport School District. B. To receive reimbursement, the teacher requesting it must submit a resume of the course(s) taken and an official grade report from the college or university attended. All final grades must be passing grades as stipulated by the standards of the institution attended. C. Grade reports are acceptable evidence for reimbursement. However, they must be submitted by March 1st for fall semester courses, July 1st for spring semester courses and October 1st for summer courses.
PROFESSIONAL COURSES. The Board of Education or the State of New Jersey or any of its agencies, may from time to time recommend or require of a SOI certain courses, workshops, seminars, conferences, in-service training sessions or other such sessions for the purpose of improving supervisory or teaching capabilities, or for maintaining a valid certificate or license. The Board agrees to pay the full cost of tuition and other reasonable expenses incurred in connection with the above. In addition, Supervisor of Instruction may initiate participation in course work in the areas of administration, supervision, curriculum and subject or area discipline. The Board of Education shall establish a fund to support this work. For the duration of this contract this fund shall be $12,000.00 annually, with a ceiling reimbursement of $8,000 to a single supervisor, and any remaining funds are not carried over to subsequent years. This fund shall be distributed among those supervisors who have met the district’s required filing deadlines and received prior approval from the Superintendent. Supervisors shall be reimbursed at the rate of 100% of the cost of tuition, laboratory fees, books, and any other required fees up to the total amount stated above. In the event there is more than one supervisor participating in approved coursework, then the fund shall be distributed evenly among the participating Supervisors.

  • Professionals For projects involving installation or construction services, the Grantee agrees that only licensed professionals will be used to perform services under this Grant Agreement where such services are called for and licensed professionals are required for those services under State law.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the following organizations: Nebraska Council of School Administrators (NCSA), The School Superintendents Association (AASA), and any other membership dues requested by the Superintendent and approved by the Board.

  • Training Courses 16.4.1 Training courses, as well as the minimum and maximum numbers of trainees per course provided for the Buyer’s personnel, are defined in the applicable training course catalog published by ANACS (the “Training Course Catalog”) and will be scheduled as mutually agreed upon during a training conference (the “Training Conference”) that will be held as soon as practicable after signature of this Agreement and no later than May 31, 2007. AVA - A320 Family PA AMENDED AND RESTATED 16.4.2 The following terms will apply when training is performed ANACS: (i) Subject to 16.4.2(ii) below, training courses will be standard Airbus courses as described in ANACS applicable Training Course Catalog valid at the time of execution of the course. ANACS will be responsible for all training course syllabi, training aids and training equipment (not to include aircraft) necessary for the organization of the training courses. (ii) Where ANACS agrees to perform training using Buyer’s standard courses, Buyer will be responsible for taking all steps necessary to assure approval by applicable Aviation Authorities of such training (including any needed approvals of specific ANACS instructors). (iii) The training curricula and the training equipment used for flight crew, cabin crew and maintenance training will not be fully customized but will be configured in order to obtain the relevant Aviation Authority’s approval and to support the Seller’s training programs. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the training curricula used for training performed under such circumstances shall enumerate any differences that exist between the non-customized material and Buyer’s detailed specification. (iv) Training data and documentation necessary for training detailed in Appendix A to this Clause 16 will be and will not be revised. Training data and documentation will be marked “FOR TRAINING ONLY” and as such will be supplied for the sole and express purpose of training. (v) Upon the request of the Buyer [*], the Seller will collect and pack for consolidated shipment to the Buyer’s facility, all training data and documentation of the Buyer’s trainees attending training at the Seller’s Training Center. This training data and documentation will be delivered [*]. It is understood that title to and risk of loss of the training data and documentation will pass to the Buyer [*]. 16.4.3.1 If the Buyer decides to cancel fully or partially or reschedule, a training course, a minimum advance notification of at least [*] calendar days prior to the relevant training course start date is required. 16.4.3.2 If such notification is received by the Seller or ANACS less than [*] but more than [*] calendar days prior to such training, a cancellation fee corresponding to [*] of such training will be deducted from the training allowance defined in Appendix A to the extent sufficient allowance then remains, with any balance invoiced at the price corresponding to such training in the then current ANACS Customer Services Catalog. 16.4.3.3 If such notification is received by the Seller less than [*] calendar days prior [*] of such training will be deducted from the training allowance defined in Appendix A to the extent sufficient allowance then remains, with any balance invoiced at the price corresponding to such training in the then current ANACS Customer Services Catalog. 16.4.3.4 [*]

  • Professional Liability insurance shall be written with limits no less than $1,000,000 per claim and $1,000,000 policy aggregate limit, as applicable.

  • PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR A. Teachers are expected to comply with rules, regulations, and direction adopted by the Board or its representatives, which are not inconsistent with the express provisions of this Agreement, except that a teacher may refuse to carry out an order which reasonably threatens the teacher's physical safety. B. Teachers are expected to use appropriate channels of communication for comments, suggestions, grievances and other professional matters. Such channels include normal administrative channels, the grievance procedure, SAC, teacher organization representatives, and negotiations. No reprisals may be taken against teachers due to the exercise of their responsibilities in positions in the Vocational Teachers Federation, Vocational teachers Council and School Accountability Council. C. The District affirms the principles that teachers have the full rights and responsibilities of citizenship and that a teacher's private life and activities are not an appropriate concern of the District, except to the extent that they detract from the effective accomplishment of the teacher's professional duties or are grounds for dismissal under Colorado statutes. D. Teachers have the right, except as otherwise provided by law, to engage in political activity, to campaign on behalf of candidates for public office, and to themselves see, campaign for, and hold public office. However, these activities must be conducted outside teacher assigned hours and must not interfere with the effective accomplishment of the teacher's professional duties. E. The District and the Federation affirm the importance of good staff morale to the instructional and operational programs of a school. Teachers and administrators are expected to exhibit positive attitudes and professional behavior that will maintain and enhance good staff morale. F. The hoard, teachers, and administrators encourage one another to exemplify the highest standards of personal and professional excellence and to become outstanding role models for all students. G. Every teacher and administrator is expected to exhibit sensitivity to ethnic-minority persons and to promote the success of students from multicultural/ multi-ethnic backgrounds. H. Any alleged abuses of Executive Director authority shall be reported to the Federation or Instructional Superintendent or designee. The Federation and Instructional Superintendent or designee will review and address these allegations.
