Common use of Placement introductory period Clause in Contracts

Placement introductory period. Employees who are placed in a new position as a result of the processes described in this Section 20.2 shall serve a placement introductory period of three (3) months or 240 hours worked, whichever is greater. If the employee is not able to perform the essential functions of the position, the employee will be placed on the layoff list consistent with the provisions of Sections 20.3 and 20.4. Nothing in this section or in Section 20.4 shall affect the Employer’s right to discipline or discharge for just cause under Section 6.10.
