Common use of Periods of Absences Clause in Contracts

Periods of Absences. 3 12.6.1 Absences for Less Than Five (5) Consecutive Workdays: Unit 4 employees absent for any illness or injury for less than five (5) 5 consecutive workdays may be required, at the discretion of their 6 immediate manager, to submit a medical statement as specified in 7 Article 12.7 below to verify the absence. If such a medical 8 statement is required by the District, any medical cost for acquiring 9 the statement not covered by medical insurance shall be paid to the 10 employee by the District.
