Common use of Payment on Account Clause in Contracts

If the Contractor desires to obtain payment on account before any change in the Work has been completed, a Change Order certified by the Engineer and signed by the Contractor and the Owner must have been executed for so much of the change as has been completed at the time of the filing of the request for payment on account.
