Payment of Prevailing Rates. There shall be paid each worker of the Contractor and Subcontractors engaged in the Work, not less than the general prevailing wage rate, regardless of any contractual relationship which may be alleged to exist between the Contractor or any Subcontractor and such worker. During the Work and pursuant to Labor Code §1771.4(a)(4), the Department of Industrial Relations will monitor and enforce the obligation of the Contractor and Subcontractors to pay laborers at least the Prevailing Wage Rate established for the classification of work/labor performed.
