PARENTAL LEAVE WITH ALLOWANCE. 16.10.1 For the purposes of this Article, the Standard Benefit is defined as the employment insurance parental benefits period up to thirty-five (35) weeks at a benefit rate of fifty- five (55%) percent of the average weekly earnings, claimed within a fifty-two (52) week period. For the purposes of this Article, the Extended Benefit is defined as the employment insurance parental benefits period of up to sixty-one (61) weeks at a benefit rate of thirty-three (33%) percent of average weekly earnings, claimed within a seventy-eight (78) week period.
