Other Release from Trips. The Union officers may request in writing to the Director of In-Flight, and the Company will consider, requests to drop trip(s) or remove reserve days from a flight attendant’s schedule for official business, subject to the “Advance Notice” provisions in E.1. above. The Company will not unreasonably withhold its consent to such requests. The Company will provide a written response to any request within four (4) business days and if the request is denied, as provided for above, the response will contain the specific reason why (e.g., staffing: insufficient reserve available). If a request is denied and another flight attendant is legal and willing to fly the trip(s) in question and it/they do not conflict with other assignments, then the request will be granted.
