No Employment or Other Rights. The grant of the Option shall not confer upon the Grantee any right to be retained by or in the employ or service of the Employer and shall not interfere in any way with the right of the Employer to terminate the Grantee’s employment or service at any time. For purposes of this Agreement only, the term “employment” shall include circumstances under which Award Recipient provides consulting or other Services to the Company or any of its Subsidiaries as an independent contractor, but such Award Recipient is not, nor shall be considered, an employee; provided, however, nothing in this Section 8 or this Agreement shall create an employment relationship between such person and the Company or its applicable Subsidiary, as the usages described in this Section are for convenience only.
