Needlestick/Sharps Safety. St. Xxxxxxx Memorial Hospital has procedures in place to address needlestick and exposure to blood borne pathogens. At each meeting the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee reviews statistics of all needlestick injuries and exposure to blood borne pathogens. As required, or on annual basis the committee will also review needlestick control plans and their effectiveness and forward recommendations as required.
