Common use of Membership in Good Standing Clause in Contracts

Membership in Good Standing. Maintenance of membership in good standing is defined for purposes of Sections 5.1.1 and 5.1.2 as the timely payment of the current dues uniformly applied to other members of the Association for the class of membership appropriate to the nurse in the bargaining unit. The Association shall notify the Employer in writing of any nurse who has failed to become members or maintain membership in good standing if required by Sections 5.1.1 and 5.1.2. Nurses who fail to comply with these requirements shall be discharged by the Employer within thirty (30) days after receipt of written notice to the Employer from the Association and such discharge will be deemed for just cause.
