Meal and Break Periods Meal Periods. (a) Subject to Article 15.07(b), the University provides one 60-minute unpaid meal period in the Employee’s normal work day, unless a paid meal period is provided. Should an Employee request an unpaid meal period of less than 60 minutes, but not less than 30 minutes subject to operational requirements and with an adjustment of either start or end times, such request will not be unreasonably denied. The arrangement will be in writing and the Unit 1 Chairperson shall be provided a copy, upon request.
