Major Discipline Appeal Procedures. The appeal of major discipline shall be in accordance with the procedures set forth herein and Government Code section 11500 et seq. (the “Administrative Procedure Act”). (Government Code § 3254.5.) Any request to appeal (i.e., a Notice of Defense) must be received in the Office of the City Manager within fifteen (15) calendar days of the date that the Notice of Disciplinary Action is served on the firefighter.
