Leave in Special Circumstances. 21.42 Following consultation with the Administrative Head an ASM shall be granted special leave with pay not exceeding six (6) days over two (2) years to attend to the temporary care of a sick family member; medical, dental or legal appointments; for home or family emergencies. For situations of violence or abuse in their personal life that may affect their attendance and performance at work, a request for a period in excess of this total shall not be unreasonably denied.
