Common use of Leave for Union Meetings Clause in Contracts

Leave for Union Meetings. 8.4.1 The employer shall allow each employee a paid absence of up to two hours for any one meeting the Institute may call in any one year (January to December inclusive), or an aggregate paid absence of up to four hours for any two or more meetings called in that same year. The paid absence in respect of any such meeting shall not exceed two hours to the extent that the employee would otherwise be working for the employer during the meeting.
