Leave for Union Meetings. 6.3.1 Providing the employee would otherwise be working for the employer during the meeting, the employer shall allow each member of NZEI Te Riu Roa or APEX paid absence of up to two hours for any one meeting NZEI Te Riu Roa or APEX may call in any one year (January to December inclusive), or an aggregate paid absence of up to four hours for any two or more meetings NZEI Te Riu Roa or APEX may call in that same year provided that the paid absence in respect of any such meeting shall not exceed two hours.
