Leave for Public Office. The Board shall grant leave of absence without pay to a teacher for the purpose of campaigning for or serving for the first term as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, the House of Commons or the local council of a municipality. Leave for subsequent terms may be granted by the Board. The teacher shall continue to accumulate seniority for the period of leave.
